MDA of Southwest Louisiana assists over 850 local families. These families are from the fifteen parish area including Lafayette, Acadia, Evangeline, St. Mary, Calcasieu, Cameron, St. Landry, Jeff Davis, Vermillion, Avoyelles, Iberia, St. Martin, Vernon, Beauregard, and Allen.

From the rumble-filled “Harley Day” at MDA summer camp to pledge rides that draw thousands of riders, MDA has been on the road to a cure with the legendary motorcycle manufacturer since 1980.
Since then, the Harley-Davidson family of customers, dealers, suppliers and employees has raised more than $70 million to aid research and program services for children and adults with muscular dystrophy. The funds raised support life-saving research, comprehensive medical care for children and adults with neuromuscular disease, and MDA summer camps.
